With 18 years of editorial experience, Julie founded the Plain White Press as a laboratory to explore publishing ideas: products, formats, editorial process, business and sales models.
Julie started out to become an architect, but has become a publisher instead. Since her first job at Progressive Architecture magazine, she’s developed a wide variety of editorial products: magazine articles, books, direct-mail continuity cards and kits, newsletters, and electronic media. She’s covered topics that include architecture, design, fitness, and general reference for both general and niche audiences.
Her skills include innovative new product development from concept to publication, editorial project management, strategic list planning, and product marketing and sales support.
